Mobile Number Portability (MNP) will make another telecom revolution

After a long waiting once again it has been announced that MNP is going to be  launched. But this time its final because Telcom and IT Minister A. Raja   (on Tuesday) said that the much awaited mobile number portability (MNP), which allows telecom subscribers to sustain their numbers while switching operators, will be implemented partially from Nov 1. In the first phase 11 telecom circle will be covered  (mostly northern and west states) from 3rd week of November. The implementation of MNP has been delayed four times. Initially, it was to be implemented by Dec 31, 2009 in all the metros along with the states of Maharashtra, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. It is believed that about 50 percent subscriber will switch their operator within three month of the launch. Lets wait and watch. but i think there will be another correction on call rates due to MNP.

QR Codes are common in Japan, where they are currently the most popular type of two dimensional codes. Moreover, most current Japanese mobile phones can read this code with their camera. No more tariff war on callrates, please...

"No more tariff war on callrates, please..." Sorry dude, but i feel this since some days, I have just bought STel sim some day ago and make only a few call. Few calls mean only about 10 to 20 minute after making a number of tries. The system always says "The route is busy, please after some time." That is the "some time" does it mean some week or months. I think all is due to the tariff war. To attract more and more customer the announces low and lower tariffs. but what happens people like me buys the sim and uses(if the can) them and then the sims goes to a dustbin. The strategy to lowering the tariffs is now going horrible. what does it mean that you have to pay only 1 paisa for 1 sec (now even 2 or 6 secs)  or like this if you are not able to make a call on any emergency? it only means you have to pay very less for just wasting time. So, I think stop lowering the call rates and think on another thing like lowering prices of value added services or mak
